THE BRIEF
The clients, a well-traveled couple, desired a deeply luxurious and sophisticated home. They specifically asked for a rich material palette that felt timeless and elegant, steering clear of fleeting design trends.
THE SITE
A premium 1,800 sq ft 3BHK apartment in the heart of Kothrud. The builder had provided standard vitrified tiles and basic finishes that completely undermined the exclusivity the clients were seeking.
THE CHALLENGES
Integrating a heavier, opulent material palette like Italian marble and solid walnut without making the rooms feel dark or visually heavy. Balancing richness with our studio's signature minimalist restraint was crucial.
THE SOLUTION
This residence explores a denser, more luxurious material palette while maintaining our commitment to clean lines. We replaced the builder-grade flooring with continuous Italian marble to visually expand the space. Walnut wood panelling and brass accents were used meticulously as highlights, forming the backdrop for custom-designed furniture pieces rather than overwhelming the rooms.
The attention to detail is staggering. It feels less like an apartment and more like a bespoke, crafted piece of art.
